Ravencrown Conviviality

So you're here because you want to roleplay a Death Knight, well this is my guide on how to do it.

Now I'm not the best at writing guides, nor do I claim to be one of the best Rpers but I like to bestow what I know onto others.

First Generation

The First Death Knight's were created by Gul'dan for Orgrim Doomhammer, but unlike the modern Death Knight, these were not battle hardened warriors but a slain Orc warlocks soul from the Shadow Council placed within the body of a fallen Stormwind Knight. Unfortunately most of these Death Knight's were destroyed during and after the end of the Second War either by the Alliance or turned into Liches by Kil'jaeden,

Second Generation

So this Generation, oh boy, this is the one I personally love the most, the first of whom was as most know Prince Arthas Menethil, who would go on to become the Lich King, but lets fill you in first on how they came to be.

So the immensely powerful Lich King decided he wanted a champion of his own so who did he pick, good ol' Arthas Menethil a champion of The Light, a mighty Paladin of the Silver Hand, who at the behest of the Lich King, he gave up his soul to claim Frostmourne, to save his people.

So enough about Arthas, let's move onto your Death Knight, so a 2nd Generation Death Knight is considered a killing machine or an engine of destruction, these ex-scourge soldiers whose souls were claimed and twisted to serve the Lich King or some who even gave up their souls willingly, now as you will have seen within the Death Knight starting zone, you'll learn how most of the Death Knight's broke free from The Lich King's control, he saw you as expendable in exchange for a chance to bring Tirion into his ranks, what a bastard.

So how do these Death Knight's work?

So as a Death Knight you were considered a killing machine within the Scourge, almost all Death Knight's embraced the honour of their status, the ones who did not and retained emotion, were deemed unworthy and fed to the ghouls.

So back to the killing machine part, a Death Knight suffers from something called the “Eternal Hunger” or “Endless hunger” this is the need of a Death Knight to be inflicting pain, suffering or death upon something, if you don't you will feel an immeasurable pain and agony, so much so it will drive you to a blood-seeking murderous rampage.

Emotions

Now I hear this a lot “Death Knight's feel no emotion” well that my friend is bull, they do feel emotions, but generally negative ones more deeply, things like pity, remorse etc. are something they feel a lot, good emotions DO happen but only for a very brief and rare time, so yes you do have emotions but just, not the ones you would have had in life.

Physical Appearance

Considering you're now undead, well you may be rotting, you may also have parts of bone showing, you will also be quite pale, possibly even grey, you may or may not have eye illumination or even face tattoo's it is possible. You will look very much like your former living self but with the differences mentioned above.

So this is a brief guide to a Death Knight, I will improve over time, including a section on Worgen DK's (First time writing a guide and all that.)
